Eats: Go Burger Kitchen GBK @ Setiawalk, Puchong

One cool Friday evening, a number of us were invited under Foodirector, and Rao, the owner of Go Burger Kitchen to check out their newly opened establishment.

Located at Setiawalk on the First Floor, this place was a bit off the beaten track, with one flight of stairs up. Yes, it took me a while to look for it... so keep your eyes peeled for Block G-1 if you are wanting to check this place out.

this non halal burger diner will have celebrated its first month anniversary by the time this post is up.

My drink whilst waiting....

Scones @ MJ Cafe, Jaya 33.

A couple of week back, sometime in late April, I found this place not too long ago after I decided to join True Fitness in Jaya 33. It is a nondescript looking cafe which serves local food, western and asian cuisine.

The only item on the menu that actually caught my eye was among the smaller items.

The scones and jam.

Say what? I love scones. and I love coffee.

This diner serves the best tasting scones I have tasted since I came back from Sydney.

Scones with whipped cream and strawberry jam on the side (RM3.80)

Bodycare: Yage Life @ Taman Danau Desa.

So just about a couple of weeks back (sometime in April), I was feeling really tired and sleepy. To add to it, my back was hurting. As my workplace was near Taman Danau Desa, I decided to check out the foot, and body massage centres there.

Yes, going for massages are among my favourite past time.. not because I love them too much, but out of necessity of my aching back... >_<

Most of the massage centres in Taman Danau Desa were on the ground floor, and were of the chinese asian kind. They were the kind where you typically sat on a long chair, and the sifu would render their massages as you sat there. People from outside could see what was happening inside, so I didn't like those kind of centres as they did not offer any privacy.

Finally I decided on this place called the Yage Life.

999.9 Gold Prices: CIMB Gold Investment Account

Gold prices fell through the psychologically important USD $1,400-an-ounce level during mid-morning North American trade on Wednesday, triggering some pre-placed sell orders. It is approaching prices not seen since the huge price drop last month in April.

Eats: Flat White coffee @ Secret Recipe, Sunway Pyramid.

By now, my readers should be able to guess that I am a fan of espresso drinks...

My next hot drink adventure took place at a name that many urbanites would be familiar with, Secret Recipe. This is a local home brand halal diner that started out with their signature black, and white coffee before espresso drinks were introduced and became popular. My mom would order that when she went there, an the memory of that white coffee alway lingered till this day.

I was in Sunway Pyramid sometime in late April for an appointment, and a meeting was set in Secret Recipe.

Nuffnang Premiere: Star Trek: Into Darkness (3D) @ GSC One Utama.

Remember these lines?

Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise. Its five-year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before.”

Spoken at the end of every Star Trek episode by the captain of the Star Trek spaceship.

Thats what I heard at the end of the premiere screening of Star Trek: Into Darkness last week.. (oopps, did I reveal too much? ^^

This is a shoutout to Nuffnang. Thanks for the special invites that I won for the premiere screening of Star Trek! Last week, Nuffnang had a premiere screening for Star Trek (3D) : Into Darkness at GSC One Utama. I was one of the lucky few to win invites to the screening through Nuffnang holding a Facebook contest online.

Photos of: 805, Suara Rakyat, Suara Keramat @ Stadium Kelana Jaya

So some of my mates sent me some pictures to include for the Kelana Jaya rally.

Itulah yang dikatakan satu hati menuju kejayaan!

Mainstream papers like The Star, Utusan, New Straits Times did not even cover the event, saying only about 2000 persons came...

Well, these unedited pictures below will tell you that these papers are lying!!

R2 Hair Saloon @ Taman Danau Desa

So the 13th General Elections has come and gone. Barisan Nasional won. To me it doesn't really matter who won, but what really riled me up is the dirty tricks they have used to win.... I am quite disheartened, but life has to go on.

About a fortnight ago, one sunny Friday afternoon, I decided to go and have a hair cut. My hair has been bugging me for the longest time as it was getting really long, and had no shape of any kind.. and the weather has been hot lately.

One of my friends suggested this hair salon, R2 Hair Saloon. It is located beside the Fish Head Noodle Shop in Taman Danau Desa. I tried googling for this place, but it didnt turn up in any of the searches.

Chairs, Mirrors and stuff..

Malaysia: I casted my vote in GE13, PRU13. Did you?

So I finally did it. My second time in casting my vote as a citizen of Malaysia at the polling station at Sekolah Sri Mega. I missed the one in 2008 as I was in Sydney that time.

Sekolah Sri Mega also happens to be my old school when I did my Year 1 in 1986, 27 years ago! It looks the same.. Not much has changed with its buildings.

There was no commotion. No nothing. Just took me 5 mins of waiting, done before 12pm. Parking was a little difficult though. Had to park a bit further away from the school, and traffic congested with everyone wanting to come in to vote.

Now we all will have to just sit tight, pray hard, and let God do the rest. May the best party wins!

Metamoff Gallery: Eyebrows Sketching, Urban Decay long lasting colours.

Although I am just recovering from my flu, I had to go in for class today, as I will be missing out on class the follow Saturday due to work matters. I also had to settle my enrolment issues with Metamoff Gallery.

Today I decided to sign up for more make up classes under Metamoff Gallery. Today is my 5th class.

Vote for Pakatan or Barisan Nasional? GE13, PRU13.

Thanks to RC who created the poster above for me to upload.

I have never been fond of politics. I am a person who enjoys her time of peace, serenity, sometimes on her own, and sometimes with her mates.

But 33 years of living on this Earth has taught me a few things. In particular, going overseas to study in a country like Australia has opened my eyes. As they say in cantonese, 'hoi har ngan kai', or open your eye view.

Eats: BBQ Thai @ Old Klang Road, Kuala Lumpur.

So on Sunday, Tzan decided that we should all try out the non-halal thai place at Old Klang Road. If you are wondering, its about less than 5 minutes away from Mid Valley.

Apparently this place has been spoken much about, so the girls wanted to try out this place... When we arrived, the place was packed... there was no parking space, so we had to go and park (in some illegal spot near the main road...Ok, you heard it here first!)

Metamoff Gallery: One Eye Shadow Colour Application

Last Saturday, I attended my 4th Make up lesson with TY at Metamoff Gallery. The focus of the day's lesson is application of one eye shadow colour.

There were only three students who attended the day's morning class, hence TY was really really free to chat.

As per this entry, I had asked TY about the Bobbi Brown colours she used. We talked a lot about Bobbi Brown, as she was one of their avid fans and user, and she had a lot of experience dealing with them as a Make Up artist herself.
TY's Bobbi Brown eye shadow sample she got free.
